All of this rain in the mid south has forced insects to become creative. Rain usually causes an explosion of insect activity once the weather clears up.
One of our service professionals captured this photo of ants nesting in a mailbox. We usually think of ants as nesting in ant hills on the ground. However ants in many cases are opportunistic and will nest in areas where their needs are already met. Such as mailboxes, electrical boxes, etc.
